Tin Can Tumbler with Glazed Black Interior

Enjoy your beverages with an ironic piece of pottery. This piece has black glaze on the interior, and a terra sigilatta polish on the exterior. It was smoke fired using a saggar technique, which creates a rustic effect, as if the can has been used on an open fire. It measures 8 cm wide, and 12.5 cm tall.

It was constructed using a slip-casting technique. It was made with commercial low-fire clay and glaze. It is food safe, and can be used with hot or cold beverages, though handle hot beverages with care. The walls of this vessel are straight.
